This unique experience offers a genuine interaction with local indigenous Greenlandic people through a traditional Kaffemik, meaning “serving coffee.”
Hosted by a Greenlandic family, this personalized exchange allows you to participate in an authentic celebration of life’s milestones, whether it be a birthday, graduation, or a baby’s first steps. Your adventure begins at the Greenland Sagalands store, where you’ll meet your guide. From there, enjoy a scenic 15 to 30-minute walk to the host’s home.
Upon arrival, receive a warm welcome from your host, who will invite you into their home. Experience firsthand the Greenlandic way of life as your host shares stories, culture, and the significance of the images adorning their walls.

Book your tour through the “Book Now” button on the tour descriptions. Not all dates are shown, so please send us an email requesting a tour date. We will put it up for booking if the trip/tour is available that day and time.

TOURS For cruise-ship guests: Greenland Sagalands offers a full refund on tours purchased on the website if the cruise-ship does not port Qaqortoq. All passengers get a full refund. Due of delayed or changes of dates of arrival to Qaqortoq, all passengers are offered new tickets or their tickets are valid for same tour.
- You can regrets a purchased tour within 24 Hours if the tour is more than 48 Hours ahead.
- You get a full refund if the purchased tour is more than 21 days ahead.
- You get 75% refund if the tour purchased is less than 21 days ahead and more than 14 days.
- You get 50% refund if the tour purchased is less than 14 days ahead and more than 7 days.
We have the right to keep the payment due to personal cancellation for a tour less than 7 days.
Meet us inside our souvenir store! The guide will start the tour right outside the Greenland Sagalands building.
Cruise passengers: You will arrive to Qaqortoq on tender boats. Our building is placed right by the pier, not more than 100 meters away. Our staff will greet you by the pier, under the white tent. Please meet us 10-15 minutes before tour departure.
