Everything you need to know before and after booking with Greenland Sagalands. Last updated 4 November 2026.
Booking
A booking is confirmed when you receive a confirmation e-mail with a booking number. Please check that the tour, date, time and number of guests are correct, and contact us at once if anything is wrong.
Tours have a minimum number of guests (stated on each tour page). If the minimum is not reached, we will offer you another departure, another tour or a full refund.
Some tours are booked on request. We reply within one working day with availability and price, and nothing is charged until you confirm.

Payment
Online payments are made by card in a secure payment window. Card transactions are handled by Clearhaus, and card details are never stored by Greenland Sagalands. Prices are in Danish kroner (DKK) and include VAT where applicable.
A small card fee is added by the payment provider on top of the tour price (typically under DKK 1 for Danish cards and 1–3 % for cards issued outside the EU/EEA and for business cards). The exact fee is shown in the payment window before you approve the payment.
Cancellation and refunds
- You may cancel free of charge within 24 hours of booking, as long as the tour is more than 48 hours away.
- More than 21 days before the tour: full refund.
- 14–21 days before the tour: 75% refund.
- 7–14 days before the tour: 50% refund.
- Less than 7 days before the tour: no refund.
Refunds are made to the card used for payment. You can cancel yourself from the link in your ticket e-mail (the refund is calculated automatically), or by e-mail to info@qaq.gl with your ticket number.
Cruise guests
If your ship does not call at Qaqortoq, all guests receive a full refund. If your ship changes its arrival date or time, your ticket remains valid for the same tour on the new date, or we offer new tickets.
Our staff meet you at the tender pier under the white tent. Our shop is about 100 metres from the pier.
Weather and safety
Boat tours depend on weather, sea and ice conditions. The skipper may change the route, shorten the tour or cancel it for safety reasons. If we cancel, you receive a full refund or a seat on another departure.
Life suits or life jackets are provided on all boat tours. Please follow the skipper's instructions at all times, and tell us before booking if you have limited mobility, so we can advise on the right tour and boat.
Meeting point
All tours start inside our shop at Vatikanbakken 68, 3920 Qaqortoq. Please arrive 10–15 minutes before departure. Bring a warm hat, gloves, a warm jacket and comfortable shoes; each tour page lists what else to bring.
Privacy
We store the details you enter when booking (name, e-mail, phone, cruise ship and your message) in order to run the tour, send your confirmation and contact you about changes. We share your name and number of guests with the boat operator who carries out the tour, and nothing else. We do not sell or pass on your details for marketing.
Booking records are kept for five years for accounting purposes. You can ask to see or delete your details by writing to info@qaq.gl.
