About this tour
Join us for an unforgettable whale safari aboard our comfortable Targa boat, with a small group for a more personal experience. Stay warm inside the heated cabin or step outside onto the deck for fresh air, unobstructed views, and the chance to watch for whales from every angle.
Our experienced captain will head to the areas where whales have recently been spotted, staying in contact with other local captains to give you the best chance of seeing wildlife. Whale sightings can never be guaranteed, but the summer months from June to September offer excellent opportunities to see humpback whales, and you may also spot minke whales or seals along the way.
Humpback whales can grow up to 17 metres long and weigh as much as 35 tonnes. They are easy to recognize by their impressive tail flukes, which have a distinctive white underside.
We recommend dressing warmly, as it can be chilly on deck even in summer.

- Group size: minimum 4 guests, maximum 12 per boat
- Difficulty: moderate. Requires the ability to board a boat. No hike involved
- Dress code: comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing. Bring a hat and warm gloves
- Tip: bring some water and snacks for the trip
Meeting point
Inside our shop at Vatikanbakken 68, 100 metres from the pier. Please arrive 10–15 minutes before departure. Cruise guests: look for our staff under the white tent.
Cancellation
Full refund if you cancel more than 21 days before the tour, 75% at 14–21 days, 50% at 7–14 days, no refund under 7 days. Always a full refund within 24 hours of booking. If we have to cancel because of weather or sea conditions, you get a full refund. Read the booking terms.
