About this tour
This unique experience offers a genuine interaction with local Greenlandic people through a traditional kaffemik, meaning "serving coffee".
Hosted by a Greenlandic family, this personal exchange lets you take part in an authentic celebration of life's milestones, whether a birthday, a graduation or a baby's first steps. Your adventure begins at the Greenland Sagalands store, where you meet your guide. From there, enjoy a scenic walk to the host's home.
Upon arrival, your host invites you in and shares stories, culture and the significance of the images on their walls. A highlight is an up-close look at the Greenlandic national costume: its materials and the meticulous sewing process.
Each host is a storyteller with a unique perspective. Your guide translates, so you fully grasp the richness of the conversation. Remember to take your shoes off at the entrance.
