Sermersuaq, meaning “ice cap” in Greenlandic, holds profound significance as it directs attention to the Greenland ice cap—an iconic focal point amid heightened global concerns about climate change. Our expedition takes you to the awe-inspiring “Qalerallit Sermia,” near the city of Narsaq. Depending on weather and sea ice conditions, our journey may extend to the water’s edge, offering a rare opportunity to walk on the exposed land (20 min.).
Board our comfortable and specially equipped vehicles as we traverse the rugged terrain, navigating through pristine landscapes towards the vast expanse of the Ice Cap. Deepen your understanding of the glacial dynamics and the unique ecosystem thriving in this frozen realm.

Where is the meeting point?
The meeting point is at the pier "Kongebroen" in Qaqortoq. If you are arriving by cruise, your tender boats will bring you directly to this pier, so no additional transportation is needed to reach us.

What should I bring?
We suggest that you bring some hiking boots for this trip. It is also a good idea to take water or other beverage with you, a windbreaker jacket, and perhaps an umberella in case it rains.
